DePaul - home to the happiest student body in the country according to a recent poll. It is also a wonderful community located approximately one mile west of the Lincoln Park Zoo. This community is composed of primarily single family homes, with schools and restaurants and the "el" all within a short walk. You can also still bike to the lakefront at North and Fullerton Avenue Beaches within minutes.
The Sheffield Garden District is located in the heart of DePaul. The community hosts the annual garden walk every summer and neighbors compete to show off their beautiful city gardens to their best advantage. You can park in front of your home and enjoy a "suburb in the city" kind of living - just minutes from all major expressways and all kinds of city transportation. If you wish, you can also walk home from a Cubs game on a beautiful summer evening. Easy living in the heart of a great city, with the neighborhood kind of feel you get in a smaller town. The students keep it happening, the families keep it safe and secure and neighborly. There is Trebes Park, which hosts three family oriented concerts on summer nights, schools galore, public and private, and the Adams Playlot and Water Park for the little ones. Best of all - you can walk to everything. First class retail shops and five star restaurants are all on Halsted and Armitage. Oz Park, and the DePaul University Campus give additional green space and lots to do any time of the year.
